Search engine listings
How do I get listed on a search engine …at the top?

Our studio has the feel of an island getaway.
With wooden carvings, plants and bamboo surroundings.

While Limelight Design Studios will endeavor to create a website that includes all current standards required for optimal search engine results, we cannot guarantee high ranking in search engines at any time.

There are however, ways in which you can help yourself as noted below:

1. Register your website yourself
You will need to prepare a descriptive sentence that summarises your website’s content. It should be simple and state the main content of the website. Also compile a list of keywords that are relevant to your website’s content.

Then identify the search engines you wish to be listed with and that allow you to register your website with them. Locate the online form and follow the instructions. It takes time and patience to register your website with multiple search engines and may take a whole day, but it’s usually free.

The search engine owners will then check your application. It can take from 2 to 6 weeks before you see your website listed.

2. Pay an organisation to register your website
An alternative is to pay an organisation to register your website to a selection of search engines for you.

3. Search Engine Optimisation services
If you require a guarantee of top ranking results, there is the option of engaging “Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)“ services.

Advertise your website – everywhere.

Once you have your Domain Name registered and website complete, make sure to place the website address on all your promotional material. It should be as important as advertising your phone number. Following is a list of where your website address could now appear:

  • business cards
  • letterheads and envelopes
  • quotes, invoices & receipts
  • email signatures
  • e-newsletters
  • packaging
  • uniforms
  • window & vehicle signage
  • flyers, brochures & posters
